I am currently studying medicine at St George's Hospital Medical School in London. I am married to Joanna. I left Selborne not knowing what on earth I wanted to do. Ended up doing a Bridging year at Kingswood Grahamstown), and the first year of a B Com UPE).

The family then moved to North Yorkshire,UK, and it was about then that I realised that I wanted to do medicine. No SA university wanted me, so I had to wait 5 years to get 'settled status'to study here in the UK.

During the wait I did A-levels, worked as a health care assistant, trained in Operating Department Practice, and played rugby for the town. It was during this time, while staying in that den of iniquity - the nurses home - that I met my medical student wife-to-be. We have been married now for just over 2 years, and she is now a GP. No kids yet!

The future is still hazy. I've got to finish my degree here in London, and then who knows?
